Emily's Wedding Weekend (part 1)

This weekend Matt and I were able to go visit family! It was much needed.

On Wednesday, my brother Steve came out to visit and go snowboarding with Matt. On Wednesday we took him to Five Guys Burgers. Stephen said it was "the best burger ever" and "oh, now those are good fries". They really are.

Thursday morning Matt and Steve left for Brighton and I went to work. They had so much fun. It was fun hearing how Steve did. We got him Cafe Rio for dinner. YUMMY. We got packed and finally went to bed.

We were supposed to leave at around 5:00am, but since I was sick (really sick) we ended up not leaving until 6:00am. Missing the wedding was completely my fault. BUT, we made it in time to make the picnic in St. George. It was absolutely wonderful weather. Then we made the ride up again to Cedar City where we had a hotel room. My cousin Ali and I went to get our nails done. That was FUN! I love spending time with her. Then I took a little nap and off we were to the reception. The church was beautifully decorated and it was so fun. There was a chocolate fountain. I was in heaven. Then it was dinner at Sizzlers and bedtime.
We woke up Saturday to about one foot of snow. That was fun (NOT). About 20 miles out of Cedar City, it became nice and sunny. We made it down to Las Vegas by 11:30. We just lounged around with family. Then we went to see the house that Ali and Randy are buying, and then off to Dans house to see the nieces and family. They are getting so big. Then it was off to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway for some ride-alongs with my cousin Casey. I was terrified, but it was actually quite nice. I have a much greater respect for Nascar drivers now. Thank you Casey. Then we all went to dinner at Lone Star Steakhouse. I'm pretty sure they thought we were crazy. But what fun is a family if they aren't crazy. But it was so much fun. That one dinner could be the topic of one blog post. Maybe I will....

Sunday, my mom and Steve left Las Vegas. We left shortly after. We got home at around 8:00pm. We were exhausted. So nice to sleep in my own bed.

We want to thank my mom (for flying Steve out and for EVERYTHING), Paul (for explaining how Sizzler works and for the dinner), Aunt Nean (what didn't you do for us this weekend), Uncle John (for putting up with us taking over your house and for dinner), Ali (for my nails and spending time with me), Casey (for my once in a lifetime NASCAR experience), Emily and Andrew (for getting married and giving us the excuse to come down), Randy (for shoveling my car), Madison (for just being cute), Steve (for my vitamin water and for being a great brother), Dan and Britteny (for letting us come over and visit with you guys, the girls are fantastic - sorry we couldn't stay longer) and for everyone who just made this weekend terrific. We had so much fun. I hate leaving my family, since they are the bestest... till we see you again..... WE LOVE YOU!
